During a service, it might be necessary to collect information not expressly provided via the site. This information includes but is not limited to: before and after photos of the home, names of people and/or pets at the home, home entry codes, locations of keys and any other information we deem necessary to provide better service.
Wherever Abode Home Maintenance collects Personal Data we make an effort to provide a link to this Privacy Policy.
By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in connection with the Services and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Non-Identifiable Data: When you interact with Abode Home Maintenance through the Platform, we receive and store certain information which does not identify you personally (referred to as personally non-identifiable information in the USA and non-personal data in the European Union). Such information is collected passively using various technologies.
This includes:
Technical or other details about any device which you use to access the Platform, including Internet and/or network connection; your Media Access Control (MAC); any device Unique Device Identifier (UDID) or equivalent; your operating system, browser type or other software; your hardware or mobile device details (including your mobile device type and number and mobile carrier details), if applicable; or other technical details. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.

Home Services: We will share your Personal Data with select home service providers as necessary for them to provide services to you.

Additional Information and Policies for House Cleaning Services
Declutter
You don't want to task your house cleaner with figuring out how to organize your cluttered surfaces. Pick up toys, junk mail, loose change, and whatever else found its way to your countertops. The less clutter you have around, the easier it will be for your house cleaner to focus on more important tasks, such as wiping down your baseboards and surfaces. Please pick up clothing that may be on the floors or surfaces the cleaners will be cleaning. If clothing is not picked up they will be piled or worked around but we do not require the cleaners to do either.
Clear Any Dishes
Unless otherwise specified, most house cleaners don't wash dishes or deal with food messes. Washing and putting away your dirty dishes will make it much easier for your pro to clean your sink and the surrounding areas. Plus, once everything's all sparkling clean, you won't have any additional chores to worry about!
Communication Is KEY!
Once you're meeting with one of our preferred teams communicate your needs clearly. For example, if your dusty Venetian blinds are driving you crazy, bring this up so your house cleaner or office staff will know not to miss it. If you'd like your house cleaner to do a quick walk-through with you, prepare all your talking points beforehand so no time gets wasted.
Valuables
It's always wise to secure anything that could easily get broken. Accidents happen, and you don't want your grandma's favorite vase to come crashing down. If anything is especially valuable to you or needs to be cleaned in a specific way, let your pro know ahead of time.
Pets
When possible please have your animals tucked away during the cleaning. We love animals! Sometimes they can get in the way of the cleaning process though. Your house cleaner may also have allergies or phobias, so it's best to be considerate and tuck away the fur babies until they're finished! Please note that pet hair takes time to remove from the home. Some added fees may be applied if cleaners need more time in the home to remove hair. It is also important to note that it is not likely that cleaners will be able to remove all pet hair from a home. Pet hair can get in the air while sweeping or vacuuming and may settle after the cleaning is done. This is common. Subcontractor/cleaners are not responsible for the care of animals. If a dog runs out the door or gets into cleaning supplies this will be the responsibility of the client. We will do our best to make sure to keep doors shut and keep equipment/supplies out of the way but the teams are there to clean and provide a service and not to attend to your pet's needs.
Furniture:
Our teams are not responsible for moving furniture.
Doors Closed:
If you do not want to have a room cleaned please close the door. That is a universal sign for cleaners not to enter.
Arrival Times
We schedule appointments on a 9 am, 11:30 am, and 2:30 pm start time schedule. Keep in mind that all bookings will always have a one to two (1-2) hour arrival window due to unexpected delays or force majeure events. Our Company permits a one to two-hour arrival window due to unforeseen events (i.e. traffic; weather; etc) for each scheduled cleaning. If for some reason our representative is running behind schedule, our Company will notify you via phone call or text.
Customer Equipment Use
If the Customer requests that we use their cleaning equipment or vacuum, you understand and agree that neither our Company, owners, employees, or agents will assume or accept responsibility for the equipment or damages that may occur. You understand and agree that we are not responsible for the equipment's upkeep and maintenance. Therefore, we will not pay or reimburse a Customer for damaged or broken equipment. In addition, if the Customer's equipment or vacuum is inoperable at the time of our representative's arrival for a scheduled cleaning, they will be unable to vacuum your floors and carpets unless permitted to use their own equipment.
What We Cannot Clean
Please note that we do not provide mold removal or cleaning services nor do we provide hazardous material cleaning. We do not clean hoarding homes or places involving bodily fluids; blood; feces; vomit; cat litter boxes; bird cages; urine or excrement from animals or humans.
Because of safety and liability concerns, our representatives and agents are not permitted to climb higher than a step stool or work outside of the home or premises. If you wish our representatives or agents to clean behind large appliances; furniture; art work; or other large items, the Customer must move them if they weigh more than 35 pounds.
Windows:
If you have requested inside window cleanings from our house cleaners please note that they clean all windows under 8ft. For safety reasons, we do not permit our cleaners to stand on ladders other than foot ladders. If you need windows that are higher than 8ft we can refer you to our professional window washing team to accommodate.
Move Out Cleans:
We know that life can get chaotic during moves. We are here to help. One thing to make sure to remember areas with furniture or boxes in the way can't be cleaned. Please be sure to have as much furniture and boxes moved into one location so the cleaners can focus on cleaning. Our teams are not responsible for moving furniture.
Fridge Cleaning:
If you have requested that the fridge be cleaned please make sure to clear as much food as possible. The cleaners are not responsible for broken glass or damage caused to food. If you are requesting a move out clean please make sure to remove all the food from the refrigerator. Cleaners will not throw away food unless specifically specified.
Expectations
Our office staff and professional teams strive to bring you a 5-Star quality service with every cleaning. We are human though and sometimes mistakes are made. One thing we can't do is read minds. If you have anything extra in mind, be sure to communicate that—and prepare for any fees that might follow. Expecting more than what you're paying for, or more than what was agreed to, might get messy. So please communicate with us so you can get the cleaning you are looking for.
Attachments/Photos
Cleaners are asked by Abode Home Maintenance to take photos of their work. This will help verify that a 5-star quality cleaning was completed at your home. If you do not feel comfortable with cleaners taking photos of their work please notify the office and we will update your account for you.
Biohazards and Harmful substances
Our house cleaning company is dedicated to providing high-quality and reliable cleaning services to our clients. However, there are certain substances that we are unable to clean due to health and safety concerns. These substances include:
Feces: We do not clean any type of feces outside of the toilet, including human or animal waste.
Pet Feces: We do not clean any pet feces, whether it is from dogs, cats, birds, or any other type of pet.
Blood: We do not clean any type of blood, whether it is from humans or animals
These substances can pose serious health risks to our staff members and can also cause damage to the surfaces that we are cleaning. Therefore, we kindly ask our clients to ensure that these substances are cleaned up prior to our arrival.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This policy is intended to protect the health and safety of the house cleaning teams and to ensure that the cleaning process is effective and efficient.
Cancellation Policy
If an appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled please make sure to do it 24-48 hours prior to the appointment. If an appointment is canceled less than 24-48 hours or same day there will be a $25 cancellation fee. Appointments canceled up to 8 hours prior to the appointment are subject to a $65 cancellation fee.
Damaged/Misplaced
We hope that you never encounter this situation, but perhaps you're curious about what happens if something is broken or stolen when your house is cleaned.
If we break or damage something, we pay for it. Any cleaner or professional service person you hire to work in your home should have the same response. At Abode Home Maintenance our policy is to directly reimburse you for items valued up to $100. We ask the customer to re-purchase the item and provide us with the receipt, and then we reimburse them directly. For items over $100 in value, we may choose to file a claim with our insurance company and reimburse the customer once the claim is resolved.
In the unlikely event that something is stolen, we follow the same procedure with filing an insurance claim to replace your item. Abode is licensed and insured for your assurance and our protection. When something belonging to a customer is broken or—in very unusual cases—stolen, we address the issue immediately with any of the cleaning technicians involved. This allows us to understand what happened, to look for ways our management team can improve training or guidance, and to take any necessary disciplinary actions. We deeply value the trust we develop with our clients through our professional teams and service and will do all we can to help resolve these concerns.
Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the occurrence and must be submitted in writing to our chat line. Images of damaged items must be attached when written complaint is submitted to be considered for reimbursement.
Abode Partners
Abode Partners are trusted teams in your community that have been vetted through our Abode Partnership screening. Each subcontractor and their teams are responsible for providing quality services to Abode customers.
Financial Responsibility
You understand and agree to be personally and financially responsible for any and all outstanding costs and fees for cleaning services as provided by our Company and within this Agreement. This includes and is not limited to collection costs; attorneys fees; and legal costs; for unpaid amounts on account.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds since we have established our business on providing our customers with the highest quality service possible. However, mistakes happen and are acceptable. If you are unhappy with your completed scheduled cleaning, please call or email us within 24 hours of the event and we will correct the error at no additional charge to you.
Re-Cleans/Complaints
We understand mistakes happen. Cleaners are humans too. That being said we want to make sure you have a 5-star experience each time you use our services. Please make sure to submit all concerns and questions to our customer chat line at (801)-845-0297. Customers have 24 hours past their service date to submit complaints and concerns to qualify for re-cleans. Customers must submit a written complaint with images attached. Abode Home Maintenance customer care agents are more than happy to set up a re-clean to go over the missed items. Re-cleans are only for mentioned complaints. Cleaners and all other service members will not perform more work requested the day of the re-clean. Most re-cleans will only require one cleaner and will most likely not require a team of 2.
Late Payments
Payments are subject to a late fee after 72 hours past due. A late fee of $10 will be applied on the 4th day after service completion, $25 after 7 days, and a final $75 after 10 days. Late fees will be applied to invoices automatically and will be sent out to customers stating the amount of the late fee. All accounts will be placed on hold on the second overdue invoice. Invoices must be paid to continue your service.
Right Of Refusal
Abode Home Maintenance reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. These reasons include but are not limited to: not being able to gain entry to a home, no power, no electricity, no air conditioning or heating, frequent cancellations or schedule changes, improper or dishonest booking, project out of scope of the original booking, not listing all the bedrooms, bathrooms or total sqft (even if we're not cleaning them), being rude to staff or Providers, poaching or attempting to poach Providers away from AHM (at any price), and/or incorrect or non-functioning billing information.
Flat Rates:
Abode Home Maintenance services are based on flat rates. They are not based on hours. Prices are always set and agreed upon by Abode Home Maintenance sales representatives and the client prior to the service date. Clients must submit any changes to their service 24 hours prior to their cleaning start time. For example, if you scheduled a deep clean and want to change to a regular cleaning. Or if you want to remove an extra room you decided to add on during the sale. The price discussed during your initial text/call is the flat rate for your service. If during the service you do not have the cleaners clean particular rooms, this will not reduce the price of the original flat rate agreed upon by you and the sales representative from Abode Home Maintenance. If changes need to be made, please request those changes 24 hours prior to the cleaning. If you have questions about our pricing please reach out to our staff so we can assist you.
We strive to meet your expectations but if issues arise please reach out to our office staff asap. So we can work to correct anything that needs to be addressed.

I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY, AND AGREE THAT MY USE OF THE ABODE PLATFORM IS AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF MY AGREEMENT TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
